Remembering the Trust in your Will

There are two main types of legacy: Residuary being the remainder of your estate after taxes, expenses and other legacies have been paid; and Pecuniary being a specific sum of money. The suggested wording for each type of legacy is set out below.

Residuary:
“I give all my property not otherwise disposed of by this my Will subject to and after payment of my funeral and testamentary expenses to the Ouseley Church Music Trust for the general purposes thereof, and I declare that the receipt of the Clerk or other proper officer thereof for the time being shall be sufficient discharge.”

Pecuniary:
“I give to the Ouseley Church Music Trust the sum of [in words] free of duty for the general purposes thereof, and I declare that the receipt of the Clerk or other proper officer thereof for the time being shall be sufficient discharge.”

If you need any further help in donating to the Ouseley Church Music Trust, please do contact our Clerk, Mr Neil Parsons on clerk@ouseleytrust.org.uk or 07912 696852.
